Pretty soon I will be asking my high school sweetheart to marry me and instead of doing the traditional engagement ring, I will be presenting her with loose diamonds. Why? Well loose diamonds are less expensive than the ones that are already set. Then too I’m not sure what style my girlfriend would like so having the loose stones would give her the freedom to create or suggest her own design.

My girlfriend keeps trying to get me to let her get a dog. I told her when we moved in together that we can’t have pets if we’re going to live together and she had to agree to that before we moved in. Now she’s being all whiney and complaining that she wants a cat. I am pretty allergic to cats. I get itchy eyes and sneezy and it’s just no fun at all. Not to mention the hair all over everything you own, including your clothes. I just don’t want to deal with any pets. A friend of mine is always telling me where to buy cheap cat and dog supplies, but I really, really don’t want any pets.

Last month my best friend moved about three hours from here with his wife and two children. He really didn’t want to move, but his wife wanted to be closer to her family. Three hours is about halfway between his family and her family, so they thought it was fair. They had four huge moving trucks for all of their stuff and probably 12 movers to help load it all. I’m glad we didn’t have to load it all on our own.

Last Halloween, my girlfriend and I were invited to go to a Halloween party. Neither one of us knew what to dress up to be. We went to so many costume shops and could not find something that we thought would be different than others there. My girlfriend even looked at some sexy costumes, but didn’t buy any because I couldn’t find anything to wear to match as her partner. We finally decided just to go dressed up as a nurse and doctor.

My girlfriend and I went to see some of her family in South Carolina a couple of years ago and stayed at a place called Hilton Head island. We searched through various Hilton Head rentals before finding the perfect place to stay. I had a really great time and would like to go back very soon. I didn’t even realize until just now that it had been over two years.

A friend of mine recently moved back home from New York. He had a hard time finding some New York movers that would help move him to another state, but he was able to find one company to do it. His wife is really happy to be back in her home town. She has always hated the city and wanted to move back home.

My girlfriend’s mother recently started taking progesterone supplements. She’s going through “the change of life” as my girlfriend says and her body isn’t producing progesterone like it should be. This has got my girlfriend all weirded out. She keeps saying how old she’s getting and she’ll be at the same place her mother is really soon. Of course her mother is nearly 30 years older than her, so she won’t be there for a while.

My girlfriend’s parents recently celebrated their 40^th wedding anniversary. They got married around age 19 and theyve been together and happy for all of these years. My girlfriend’s father got his wife a very nice Chopard watch for their anniversary. She couldn’t beleive it. I hope that one day my girlfriend and I will be able to celebrate our own 40^th anniversary.

Usually my boyfriend writes on this thing, but I’m going to start rambling about some things from time to time… starting with our new futon!

It was bound to happen that we get a futon for the apartment. My boyfriend has been using the sofa as a bed for the last few years and there was a giant hole where he lay to watch his football games. This futon is really great, we bought it from Walmart. We looked at a whole lot of other futons before finding this one. The others were not sturdy looking at all. This one got good customer reviews so we went for it. The tan color does not match with her decor but at least we can design around it.
