HDMI Wall Plates
I was at a local electronics store yesterday and I saw some cool looking HDMI wall plates. I had previously never even heard of an HDMI wall plate, but I was talking to one of the guys who works there and he said that they are actually becoming very popular. I’m thinking about installing a few of them in my house. Quality video is very important to me, especially while watching movies.

I Need My Closed Captioning
A while back I was laying in bed watching television and the closed captioning stopped working on my television set. Im a weirdo and I like to have the closed captioning on while I watch tv sometimes. I guess it’s cause sometimes you cant understand a word here or there so it’s nice to have the words printed right there in case u need to know what they said.
Cheaters - Friend or Foe
I wonder about that television show “Cheaters”. For those who have never seen it, the show exposes cheating lovers or spouses with the help of private investigators from the show. And then as camera rolls when infidelity is revealed the hurt mate would get the opportunity to confront the cheater in the act. It’s interesting because the way the whole thing is set up is to make the cheating person look bad. Unfortunately the only one going through the public humiliation is the jilted lover who hired the TV crew in the first place.
Prison Break - Season 3
If you are a Prison Break fan, you are probably like me.. Waiting around for the darn thing to start up again on Season 3!
Season 3 will be premiered on 27th August 2007, almost 5 months after the season 2 finale. It will have new roles added, and the “surviving” show crew will be brought
back together somehow in the series.
So ya, we all have to sit around impatiently just waiting for Season 3 to come on!
American Idol Gives Back
The phenomenon that is American Idol flexed its popularity muscle to draw in a whopping 70 million dollars last week for poverty via American Idol Gives Back. The show saw performances from a list of who’s who in the entertainment business including Earth Wind and Fire, Celine Dion and past idol winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
80’s Comedians Return
Comedians that we have enjoyed in the eighties have all returned for another comedic sketch on “Thank God You Are Here”. The unscripted show is hosted by In Living Color’s David Allan Grier.
On the show, comedic guests are sent through a door to an unknown set and they are expected to ad-lib their way within the conversation that is in progress. The show can be seen on Wednesday nights at 8pm on NBC.
Goodbye Rosie
Sometimes comedian and talk show host Rosie O’Donnell announced that she would be leaving “The View” in June after one year on the air. During that year, Rosie managed to step on the toes of many, the most confrontational being with Donald Trump.
Apart from bashing everyone, Rosie also used the show to further publicize
her gay lifestyle. So long Rosie. You won’t be missed!
Food Network Awards Show?
Some awards shows are not meant to be. If you thought that the TV Land Awards show was bad, then you haven’t seen the Food Network’s poor excuse for a red carpet gala affair.
The categories were uninteresting and the Food Network’s cooks as hosts were so boring that you couldn’t help but wish they were stirring a pot rather than standing in front of a mic. Food Network took a chance on Awards and failed miserably.
Geico Cavemen and How They Are Living
If you loved the cavemen from the Geico Insurance television ads, and then you will be curious to see how they are living, and it’s not caveman style. Their home on the Internet at www.CavemansCrib.com takes you to a contemporary and well decorated apartment with a view.
Visitors are not only allowed to interact with the cavemen but as their specially invited guest get a chance to peruse their bedrooms, their PDAs, read their diaries, turn channels on the big screen TV and even enter the bathroom while one of the cavemen is having a shower.
Enough With The Cliched TV Ads
It seems that advertising copywriters are stuck in a creative rut since all the ads that we see on TV today are all recycled. How many Uncle Earls and Johnson’s in an office setting can we bare on those ads? Not to mention the words I’ve heard the words “we can do it, you can help”, on two separate ads and “X company has a X for that” is quite a popular phrase with Visine and Sylvan Tuition.
Even “changing the world one X at a time” are pretty much overused to its limit and I’ve just about had enough of “many will enter, few will win”.  Some freshly written ads please. The audience is watching.
