For some reason I had never given much thought to life insurance. I realize how important it is and I want my family to be covered if something ever happens to me. He’s Been Diagnosed With Mesothelioma

A friend of mine has an uncle who used to work in construction and his uncle was recently diagnosed with Mesothelioma. It’s really sad that he worked his butt off in the heat and cold for all of those years and all he has to show for it is lung cancer. Everyone is telling him that he should sue someone, but he’s just not that type of person. I really wish him well.

An Acne Treatment That Works

My younger cousin has always had very bad acne. He has probably tried over 50 acne treatments since the time he was about 13 years old and nothing really worked as advertised. Replacing My Computer’s Video Card

Lately I’ve been checking out different video cards for my computer. My old video card stopped working for some reason and I’ve been using this really cheap $15 backup video card that I keep in case my good card goes out. My cheap backup card doesn’t have tv-out or anything fancy, so I can’t do everything I normally do with my more expensive card. I need to find a new one in a hurry.

On a recent day trip, we traveled to a nice town in Washington. There were many very expensive homes that looked like they could be considered mansions. The fiberglass columns were beautiful. They were a lot like pillars but much fancier. We talked to some of the owners, that were having an open house that weekend. They explained that they should never have to replace them for many years or maybe never. They should never rot, since they bought the more expensive ones. It was unbelievable how beautiful fiberglass columns made the homes look.

There are so many different decorative items that you can dress up your yard, porch and outside areas with. Since it is summertime, I planted a lot of flowers in my bordered flower garden and also hung flowers in hanging baskets. They really looked nice. I decided to hang wind chimes on a hook by my back door and also by my front door. They have such a nice soothing sound to them. The last outdoor item I purchased was some stepping stones to put in garden. My yard really looks so much nicer now.

My elderly neighbor has diabetes. Her blood sugar always changes, depending on what she eats. She has to watch closely how much sugar she eats. She tries to eat sugar free candy and other foods. They make medical alert bracelets for people to wear that have different conditions and diseases. People wear them to make other people aware of their medical problems in case of an emergency. Luckily, my neighbor had one of these bracelets and was wearing it when she fainted at a shopping center. Some other shoppers called for an ambulance and when they saw her bracelet that said she had diabetes, they knew right away to check her sugar level and what next step needed to be taken.

I was getting ready to go on a diet. I had read many labels on pills that said diet pills. I thought diet pills were different than fat burners. After discussing this with my doctor, he explained that diet pills actually worked as fat burners, too. He name many of the different brands that he thought were best. My New Laptop Computer

I travel on my job a lot. Usually wherever I have to travel to, the office I go to usually has a desktop computer. I never really thought about purchasing a laptop computer until recently. After having to stay overnight on layovers on different flights, I decided a laptop computer would come in handy. I finally bought one and it has really come in handy. In most motels, they have hookups in all the rooms, where you can plug your computer in and use the internet while staying there. It keeps me from getting behind in my work and I can also type emails and other documents during my stay.

My daughter is in her early teenage years. She battles with a lot of pimples on her face quite often. In searching at the store for a cream to treat them with, I noticed how many products there were for acne. There are actually a lot of products that treat acne, too. I want to keep her face cleared up as much as possible before it turns into severe acne. If she would ever have to be treated for acne, I will then take her to see a dermatologist to get his opinion for the best acne treatment. Sometimes, it is worth paying more to get a prescription instead of using an over the counter product for that.

Many people have severe health problems that prevent them from being able to stand very long while taking showers. A friend of mine has deep vein thrombosis in his left leg. It causes much swelling and pain. He always tried to take a fast shower so he wouldn’t have to stand quite so long. He recently purchased a shower stool. It makes it much easier for him to shower and he can take longer ones now. By using a shower stool, he can sit down and stretch that leg out. This way he is not putting pressure on it by standing too long or by bending it. He feels this is one of the most useful products they’ve made that he has purchased to use, due to his medical problem.

A friend of mine recently purchased an 80gb Sony Playstation 3. He has a nice big plasma TV in his living room and thought that the PS3 would look incredible on it. After buying the PS3 and getting it home, he realized that it doesn’t even come with HDMI cables. He paid nearly $700 for this thing and it doesn’t even come with the cables needed for high definition. Something else that I didn’t care for, was that it still only comes with one controller. You would think that when you’re buying the most expensive version they would include proper cables and an extra controller.

Ellipticals Are Great

My doctor prescribed me to go to physical therapy 3 weeks ago. One of the machines I worked out on was an elliptical. It was the easiest work out machine I have ever tried. I have tried the treadmill and many others, but nothing compared to this one. It gives you a good healthy workout, and was actually pretty easy to do. I think everyone that goes to physical therapy or a gym should try the ellipticals before any others. They will be so glad they did. I’m now thinking of purchasing one to have to work out at home at my own convenience and time.

I have suffered for quite some time with severe psoriasis. I have seen several regular doctors and a dermatologist. The amount of money I have spent on many prescriptions has been outrageous. New Swing Set

My nephew will soon be 4 years old. He has never had a swing set. I decided to get him one for his birthday. I thought it would be hard to find a reasonable priced one. I work a lot of overtime so was very limited on time to assemble it, so also needed to have that done. I only ended up having to go to three stores to find the one I needed. It wasn’t a real fancy one, but sturdy and safe, and for a few dollars more they would also assemble it for me. I was shocked to see how many different swing sets there was. There was some made of wood and others were metal and other materials. I chose the metal one in a variety of different colors on it. It was made very sturdy and cheapest in price.

Cat Toys and Dog Food

My girlfriend and I recently went to a big “going out of business” sale at a local pet store. She purchased about $200 worth of cat toys from the sale and I probably got $100 worth of dog food. I don’t even own a dog! Just kidding. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I’m really not much of a cat person and I have to take pills to keep my cat allergies down. 2 years ago if you would have told me that I would be living with my girlfriend with two cats I probably would have looked at you like you were out of your mind. But after being with her for so long, I’m willing to do just about anything to keep her happy. Afterall, when she’s happy, I’m happy. Then again, as with most women I have known, when she’s not happy, naturally, nobody better be happy. But, back to the sale. We actually found some very good deals on alot of great items for cats and dogs. I didn’t really buy much other than dog food, since the dog food prices were about seventy five percent off. I’ve never seen dog food as cheap as this. It’s actually good dog food, too, not some off brand stuff thats filled with all sorts of bad fillers and chemicals to hurt your dog. I hope more stores go out of business so I can find more of these same kind of deals. Not really, but I do wish I could find these kind of deals more often.

RapidShare Premium Account

A friend of mine is always using RapidShare (www.RapidShare.com) to find stuff like new television episodes and music videos. I never really knew much about RapidShare other than you could download stuff using it. He was showing me some stuff at work on his “premium account” and it really seems pretty cool. You can get a RapidShare premium account for around twelve bucks a month and download just about anything you want. The only real restriction that I saw was a 25gb per-five-days limit, meaning you cant download over 5gb worth of stuff in a 5 day period. I honestly don’t think I’ve downloaded over 5gb worth of stuff since I’ve had the internet, so this seems like a really good deal for me. He said you can find all kinds of things on RapidShare, even movies and video games. I don’t really download anything like music or that kind of stuff, but I do like making custom DVD’s of music videos and such. I think I’m going to give RapidShare a try for a month and see how I like it.

I Want An XBox 360

I’ve never really been very into video games and that sort of thing, but my nephew showed me a few games for XBox360 that looked pretty awesome. They recently installed a new Cat5e patch panel in my office. They’ve been doing alot of remodeling and they recently replaced their entire computer network with a much faster fiber optic internet provider. I didn’t think there would be much of a difference, but the difference is amazing. The new fiber internet is so much faster. I wish they offered residential fiber internet where I live.

Hilton Head Island in South Carolina

My girlfriend and I went to see some of her family in South Carolina a couple of years ago and stayed at a place called Hilton Head island. We searched through various Hilton Head rentals before finding the perfect place to stay. I had a really great time and would like to go back very soon. I didn’t even realize until just now that it had been over two years.

Moving Back Home

I Made The Right Choice Buying An Elliptical

After using my new elliptical I really can tell a difference between ellipticals and treadmills. Treadmills are alot easier to use, I can walk on a treadmill for an hour strait while watching TV and the time goes by fast. With the elliptical I can really feel it burning in my legs and midsection. I can really tell that I’m getting a nice workout. I’m so happy that I decided to buy an elliptical.

A Pocket Watch Like My Grandfather Had

The other day I was in a local pawn shop and I noticed a classic old pocket watch like my grandfather used to have. The pawn shop had no idea what the pocket watch was worth and I was able to pick it up for about thirty bucks flat. This really made my day and took me back to my childhood.

Almost Done With His Truck

Starting My Own Home Theater

After posting about a friend of mines home theater room, I decided to go out and buy myself a Bose home theater audio system. I could not be happier with the surround sound audio system. Yeah, it was a little pricey, but you can really feel the deep rumbling bass and the piercing highs. It feels like you’re actually in the middle of the action.

Very Nice Home Theater Room

A friend of mine recently finished building his home theater room. He finished it off with some very nice leather home theater chairs. I told him that I thought he was wasting his money when he started working on his home theater, but now I am very jealous of how it turned out. He’s got the best surround system I’ve ever heard, a very nice projector with a super high quality screen for it, new home theater seating, a popcorn machine, a huge DVD collection and so much more. I hope that I can do the same thing in my own home one day.

I Wanna Go Back To Las Vegas

I’ve been trying to get my girlfriend to take a little vacation to Las Vegas with me for about a year now. She doesn’t think that she’ll have a good time. I’ve been to Las Vegas 3 or 4 times and I absolutely love it. It seems like you find something new and exciting every time you go out there. I always find a new Las Vegas hotel to stay at whenever I go. Each place is different and offers it’s own sort of charm.

The Change of Life

My girlfriend’s mother recently started taking progesterone supplements. She’s going through “the change of life” as my girlfriend says and her body isn’t producing progesterone like it should be. This has got my girlfriend all weirded out. She keeps saying how old she’s getting and she’ll be at the same place her mother is really soon. Of course her mother is nearly 30 years older than her, so she won’t be there for a while.

Real Estate Flipping

A friend of mine has been doing what he describes as real estate flipping. He buys real estate properties and sells them within a few months time at a nice little profit without having to put much work at all into them. I would really like to try doing this, but I’m not real big on trying new risky things when it comes to money. He keeps telling me that I should try it. Maybe I will this summer.

Raising My Insurance Rates, I Don’t Think So!

My insurance company tried to raise my life insurance rates on me a while back. It took about a month to get everything straightened out. I can’t stand when big companies try and do stuff like that to the little guys. They didn’t try and raise my insurance rate by a big ammount or anything, but it’s the principle of it. When I signed up I was promised that the rate would never increase.

I was at work today and I started searching online for a quick and easy way to create high quality business cards for a little side business I’m about to start doing. I stumbled across LogoYes.com and started playing with their business card designer demo and I was actually impressed by the functionality and quality of the logo design tool. There were a huge selection of logos to choose from and can customize the color of the logo and even the color and font of your business name. I think I’m going to use their service when I get everything rolling with my new project.
